This is just a quick update (sorry, but it's pretty late, and there's a lot going on tomorrow). Some of the parties tonight have just gotten a bit wilder, as Norway just won the Eurovision contest.

I just stumbled onto your blog, and now I've read the whole thing... Loving it! You have an act for writing! Sorry that most Norwegians seem hard to talk to and make friends with... We're not all like that... :) Looking forward to reading more.

Just found your blog myself and it's great! I am hoping to move to Oslo in a year or two myself, so I am planning to keep my eye on your blog just for the info and your perspective!
I have been looking into ways to meet people - I do have two Norwegian friends but I don't want to be too much of a burden.... and DNT has some groups for singles that go hiking... also I like yoga and plan to take classes. One of my friends says there are book clubs too... and I like to kayak, and I know there was a kayak club at one point in the Hamar area, not sure about Oslo though.
I am finally coming back for a visit with another friend of mine next May... and maybe it's crazy to plan so far ahead, but we have to as she is a mom and we both have to save etc... still it's exciting!
